In the City

Him sitting beside her was all the more painful. Klinderence turned the other way, angry at herself and her father for what she was. Would she always be like this? A moster who wanted to devour people because she longed to shed blood? She felt odd, kind of tingly. She immediatly knew something was wrong.

Klinderence followed Anemos's gaze. She froze. The full moon. It was the full moon that was the problem. "I.. I ha-ave to go," she suddenly said and was on her feet in seconds racing towarsd the open air. With a giant leap she flew off the mountain-side and down towards the forest below. Once on the ground she began running, feeling herself changing as she did. All at once she couldn't hold onto the anger. She couldn't let go of it and just yell at someone. She really had to hurt something. It was a horrible erge but she knew she couldn't resist. In a fowl swipe Klinderence had ripped a whole tree out of the ground and thrown it at the mountain cave.

The sky began swimming with dark clouds that spat and cackled lightning. Klinderence jumped to stand on the stop of a tree. She spun the wind into a raging tornado that began attacking the mountains. Snow began flying and crumbling off the mountain. The crimson eyed teen swung around to look at her disasters. Her hair looked darker than usual, closer to black. Her skin was pale instead of tan and had a redish glow to it. She tried to grab hold of herself, to stop this madness, but she couldn't stop herself alone. Usually her father would have helped her calm down, even though she was must more powerful than he. But he wasn't here now. All she had was herself and clearly that wasn't enough.

Blood. Klinderence could smell fresh, lovely, blood. She flipped around, seeing Anemos's figure in the air. Momentarily she screamed at herself, don't do it! But it was such a tastey smell. Her eyes flashed a dark red, almost black, and she began moving towards him.

The half-blood slowed as she got closer to Anemos. She licked her lips absently, but then a look of horror filled her eyes. Klinderence grabbed her head, staggering sideways. "Get out of here," she rasped. She looked at him, eyes thirsty once more. She circled him quietly, feet barily making a sound other than the snow that steamed from where she stepped.

Klinderence heard the word. Odly enough, she understood it as well. She moved forward, letting her hand rest on it. It was flimsy, breakable by a hard enough force. She tilted her head, eyes flashing, just as the lightning did over head, crimson. The girl picked up the hand on the shield. Her nails were longer and sharper than usual. Better to kill with. In a swift motion she dug her nails into it and began riping small holes in the shield.

The half-blood let out a terrified scream. She fell backwards, then scooted herself away from the flames. She forced more rain down upon the land to put out the fire. At the same time she pulled herself up so she was back to back with a tree.

Once more Klinderence grabbed her head. "Get away!" she cried, eyes watering from the strain. She forced herself to walk across the clearing. She didn't want to hurt him, but he was being ignorant.

Klinderence whipped around, eyes blazing. "I could tear you to shreds," she spat. She stepped back away from him again, turning as she went, and forced herself away. It was taking all of her energy just to stay calm, just to keep herself from ripping him to peices.

His words just made her even more powerless against her savageness. Klinderence slowly turned around, face contorted as she tried to tell herself to do what her whole body wasn't going to. Slowly, lightly, she approached him, left hand finding its longsword. The other hand looked ready to claw him to bits.

Klinderence flinched for a moment at the sight of the flames. But then she didn't seem to care. Her right hand twitched and the sky let loose its fury. Warm rain pelted down, melting the snow, and wind in gusts pushed the trees sideways. She found herself sneering for no apparent reason. All at once she was at the base of a tree ripping it out of the ground and swinging it like a bat at Anemos.

The half-blood's heart skipped a beat. She'd hurt him. She'd really hurt him. Her demon blood was screaming to grab her but her human blood was crying for her to stop. Klinderence didn't know which to follow and so the moon seemed to choose for her. She dropped the tree and slowly walked towards him. Once beside him she reached down to grab the collar of his shirt.

Klinderence's knees wobbled. She could hear his words, yet they were like whispers on the breeze. For the third time that night she gripped her head while leaning on a tree for support. She was physically crying from the strain now, angry tears they were. Demon tears were red, like blood, and were usually expressed during extreme measures. She yelled at herself continuously, telling herself to stop.
